2-13. PONY CIRCUIT OPERATION: TRANSMISSION AND RECEPTION
Prepare pony circuit base and remote station teletypewriter
q
machines for operation.
Turn DC LOOP NO. 2 switch to 20 MA or 60 MA as needed.
q
Set ONE WAY/DUPLEX switch to ONE WAY.
q
Adjust base teletypewriter to produce steady mark output.
q
Turn METER FUNCTION switch
q
to DC LOOP NO. 2.
Check meter to see that
q
correct current flow
(20 or 60 mA) is in pony
circuit loop.
