START PROCEDURE
NOTE
Always allow the modem 10 minutes to warm up before
you operate it.
Apply power to the modem by
setting ON/OFF switch to ON.
Be sure RCV/SEND switch is in RCV position.
If improper indication is observed, see troubleshooting table, chapter 3.

Set METER FUNCTION switch at DC LOOP

Set DC LOOP NO. 1 switch to 20 MA or

60 MA, whichever is needed.
