4-54. REMOVE/REPLACE TRACTOR ASSEMBLY DRIVE BELT
INITIAL SETUP
Common Tools
q Tool kit
Remove
1. Remove tractor assembly (para 4-51).
2. Remove two screws securing right end
cover to tractor assembly.
3. Press up on tension adjustment
pulley to relieve tension.
4. Slip drive belt off gear pulley.
5. Remove drive belt from drive pulley.
Replace
NOTE
When replacing belt, smooth surface
should be facing outward.
Place drive belt around drive pulley.
Position top of belt under tension
adjustment pulley.
Press up on tension adjustment
pulley to relieve tension.
Place belt around gear pulley.
Release tension adjustment pulley.
Replace right end cover with two
screws.
7. Replace tractor assembly (para 4-51).
