REMOVING MOTOR/TAKE-UP CABLE ASSEMBLY

Turn off power before working on
equipment. Failure to do so can cause
serious injury to personnel.
Set POWER ON/OFF circuit breaker to
1.
OFF.
Disconnect printer from power source.
2.
Remove logic board (para 2-64).
3.
NOTE
Connector P9(1) is not used. Note
its routing and location.
Loosen two screws (2), turning each screw
two turns at a time, until connector p5(3)
can be removed from connector J5(4).
Loosen two screws (5), turning each screw

two turns at a time, until connector
P1O(6) can be removed from connector
J1O(7).
Remove cable assembly (8) from printer.

INSTALLING MOTOR/TAKE-UP CABLE

ASSEMBLY
Aline connector P1O(6) with connector
1.
J1O(7) and tighten two screws (5), two
turns at a time, until connector is tight.
2.
Aline connector P5(3) with connector
J5(4) and tighten two screws (2), two
turns at a time, until connector is tight.
NOTE
Connector P9(1 ) is not used. Route and locate as noted in
removal.
Install logic board (para 2-55).
